I love all the hints we’re getting about Frank’s life through this arc. As gnarly-but-charming as he was in Cheap Thrills, I have a real soft spot for this version of him. He’s a really sweet and insightful guy, and genuinely smart. He is such a great example of the fact that education and intellect aren’t the same thing.
He’s even very intellectually curious when it’s clear that he’s not going to be mocked for something like using the wrong words – and a lot of the words he screws up would make him sound pretty dang clever if he hadn’t mixed them up with similar-sounding ones. I really hope to see him get a fair shake. The panel in Kieri’s trailer where he says “Boozhoo, buddy!” with such an open and genuine smile really tugged at my heartstrings.

Why is Anna mad at Frank for knowing it is French toast stick day at the hospital? That’s a weird thing to get mad at someone for knowing!
