    Jeordie’s mom has to get involved in what’s going on here, right? I both want her to come outside and fear this could be leading to a “social worker sustains moral injury” story beat.

    Ahh, some refreshing honesty from her, and understanding of herself.

    Also, the snow rendering is really pretty this chapter.

    Something I really like with this chapter is that we’ve been alternating their perspectives so that we fully understand where each of them is coming from. If we had only see Jeordie’s or Beth’s perspectives we’d be strongly inclined toward bias against the one we didn’t see.

    Even if we’ve all still been really frustrated by how they’re acting, haha. But, you know… teenagers aren’t usually paragons of grace and wisdom. I think we can all look back on our own memories and, even fully knowing ourselves, still cringe at dumb or cruel things we said or did back then.
