This is going to be a difficult one. It’ll be very easy for anxious, intrusive thoughts to latch onto “mistake” and ignore that he said that he actually wants to be with her.
this is so sad for Beth 🙁 i’ve been her in this situation, your brain doesn’t listen to the other person’s reasoning and you just latch onto their “i made a mistake.”
Poor Jeordie – trying so hard to say and do the right thing but just shoving his foot right down his throat. And he knows right there in that moment that Beth is going to internalize all of his errors.
