I’ve read Cheap Thrills, but here I think it’s more about fashion and technology? In 2003 everyone had at least an old Nokia and fashion was all gaudy colors and patterns and lots, lots of jean. It was actively hard to get pants that weren’t low-cut bell-bottoms. I was just a couple years younger than these characters back then, and I remember almost constantly being cold, cause every piece of clothing was either jean or thin polyester. These hoodies and plaid shirts over white tees read more like 90s grunge.
Feel like talking about retiring just becomes a hobby for some of the grumpiest people – I bet Bernie’s still there, part of the drywall of the school now, even.
I just found and completely binged this webcomic in one night it’s SO GOOD, I really love the art style changes and the way you write the characters and their problems. Looking forward to future updates!
2003? I somehow thought the comic was set way earlier than that.
you might be thinking of cheap thrills, that took place in the 90s!!
