Ah, shit, it really isn’t about love, is it?
Oh boy yeah she’s really hit the part where 1. everything is a slight (because she’s convinced everyone has to hate her as much as she hates herself) 2. she’s punishing herself by denying herself any consolation or company 3. it’s a twisted sort of silent plea for help because on some level she hopes that her sudden shutdown and withdrawal will be noticed and therefore people will prove they really do care by trying even harder to get past her walls.
Been on both sides of it before many times. It’s painful to see. I just hope she doesn’t totally self-sabotage…
Well, and even without the self-esteem issues maybe it’s not so fun to hang around someone you *really* like who’s just let you know he’s not up for reciprocating the way you want him to.
Even without the company of friends who keep talking to him about who he should date and definitely don’t think of you as an option. That car ride must have been excruciating.
