I have to agree with SnailCake. Maybe Gladys doesn’t know her husband has two cellphones, but even if she knows he has one, why does his work need to call the landline if he’s easier to reach on his cell (and they wouldn’t have to wait to talk to him if one of the little kids answered and got distracted getting Dad to come to the phone) ? I highly doubt the younger kids are clogging up the landline. Wouldn’t his work think to try one of his cell numbers if they couldn’t reach him on the landline? Beth is absolutely right. WTF Gladys!
