I really like panel 5 with all the pictures behind Liz. Theres a marriage photo, and another family picture (including the dog!), and the rest (or at least some) I’m assuming to be drawings from kids she’s worked with? It really shows that she cares a lot about her work (and more importantly, the people), which underlines her words directly.
Also, something I just noticed going through the archives: page 331 and 332 are both marked as “Chapter 3: Page 108”, and page 333 is “Chapter 4: Page 109”.
(I really hope this doesn’t come off as pedantic or something. In the grand scope of the comic, page descriptions arent particulary important to my or probably anyones enjoyment but I just thought I’d point it out in case SE Case does want to fix it.)
I worked for a while as an executive assistant for leaders of a prestigious behavioral health clinic network, and having had to sit silently through many meetings of the executives and the board of directors, I can confirm that this is not an uncommon attitude at all. “Deadbeats,” “losers,” “crackheads,” “nutcases,” “thugs” – and lots HIPAA violations for the sake of telling “funny” stories about patients whenever and wherever they wanted. And of course they were all constantly winning awards for serving the community because they put on shiny smiles while facing the public. I no longer trust anyone in that line of work who isn’t actually going out and getting their hands dirty, because they’re usually the only ones who believe in the work and see their cases as people.
I want to tear this cotton-candy-haired bitch a new hole

Yeah, Liz is probably the best social worker they have in there. She deserves to have the top job.

It really is ironic that the poodle haired lady is sporting a cross around her neck, when Jesus actually loved and advocated for the “poor”.
