SE Case, if you’re reading this, I would like to express my deepest condolences on the loss of Fry. I’ve seen your pictures of him on Twitter – he seemed like a prince among dogs. He was a very lucky boy to have such a wonderful family. I hope you get to see him again someday.
To his credit, he’s not letting his daughter weasel out of consequences. This is good actually if anyone says anything about jeordie being stuck in the car, he might be inclined to help.
I wanna be so cautiously optimistic that her dad is holding her accountable but he’s also the kind of guy who hires these college dudes and turns a blind eye when they hit on his teenage daughter so I’m conflicted
in defense of someone I know that runs a business…
He may not know? Especially if Jenna has been more or less too afraid to say anything. I actually kinda would hope his sudden “I’m not enabling this anymore” might actually start a conversation about how some of his hires act towards her.
Oh jeez… Like I said in other comment, I would hope that this event causes some discussion of how some of his own hires act towards Jenna and that she has reason to be uncomfortable.
From Boone’s implications, it seems he was at least mildly aware that he didn’t want dudes he hired to be that way towards his daughter.
Unfortunately, as someone with a dad that didn’t understand, I can def see this going the other way, that he blames Jenna for being influenced by his older, creepier towards her hires.
I know a thumbnail I saw indicated that maybe Jeordie’s mother is concerned enough to take this to the school board…let us hope that her testimony of “Jeordie didn’t heccin smoke weed at school and Jenna was the one doing it” helps the sitch at all?
while i think jennas dad is being overly harsh, it’s good that he’s not gonna use his school board pull to get jenna outta trouble but have her face consequences
It’s a little ridiculous how schools punish students by restricting them from attending school. Like, we send you here to learn so your punishment for breaking the rules is not getting to learn.
On a separate note, expulsion for smoking weed or cigarettes is really extreme. Were schools that stringent about drugs in the early 2000s? I was an elementary schooler so all I remember is the DARE presentations and Scruff McGruff the Crime Dog.
I graduated HS in 2004. Yes, they absolutely were, and worse. My class president had a full football scholarship, someone got a picture of him smoking a joint at a party (as in, not even at school), and he was expelled and lost his scholarship. Absolutely ruined his life over a joint.
