I thought I’d do my bi-annual re-read of Cheap Thrills but when I checked the website I saw a picture of Jeordie and Beth but HUMAN & just about shit myself. Haven’t been on Tumblr for years so this was a complete surprise.
I love it and your art has really, really improved. The scenery is beautiful but still stylized. The characters are very diversely designed – but I recognized them immediately. I’m going to miss the animal-peeps but I totally get the change and am excited to see your art develop further.
Cheap Thrills was INCREDIBLY important to me as a teenager, I couldn’t find gay, poor, trailer-park-dwelling, drug-taking, pot-smoking, fucked up kids w/fucked up families anywhere “IRL” & I really, really needed it. So thank you. And thanks for coming back. I’m so excited to see more. Sorry to gush so much!!! aaaaHHHHHH
