Idk if it’s cuz Ive seen this bullshit portraiture in real life and actively look for tells..but I see a lot of toxicity and misery that two children who did nothing to deserve it, have to face. Anna’s Mom? She looks less than stunning. Especially due to how unhappy Kierie looks, and how underdressed Anna looks for any Wisconsin weather…
Despite her own vamp attire and extra makeup to bolster appearances….yeah no. Anna’s Mom looks like trash to me. She looks like way too many of my own friends’ absentee moms n dads.
Subtle details here–the pill bottles on the counter, the way Anthony is painstakingly torn out of the picture. Saying a lot without saying anything, it’s my favorite part of reading this chapter.
